Descartes Rant

Descartes' famous method of radical doubt - rejecting everything that could possibly be doubted to find indubitable truths - sounds noble in theory but is riddled with problems. His idea that one can systematically doubt everything, including sensory experiences, traditions, and even the existence of the external world, is not only impractical but arguably incoherent. Critics point out that if Descartes were truly consistent in his doubt, he would have to doubt the very language and logic he used to articulate his scepticism. This would render him incapable of formulating any conclusions at all, including his famous "cogito ergo sum" (I think, therefore I am), or so thinks Ahmet.
